For all types of aircraft
Small but mighty! That describes Linz Airport. Despite its relatively small size, the airport located in Upper Austria’s capital is able to handle all kinds of cargo and all types of aircraft – it even fulfils the requirements for wide-body aircraft. And some of the “big players” have already stopped by in Linz. For instance, the six-engined Antonov An-225. With its 88.4 metres in wingspan, it was the biggest airplane in the world. Other guests of ours: The Boeing 747-400F and the Airbus A380 have landed in Upper Austria before. And Turkish Airlines visits Linz twice a week with a Boeing 777F and an Airbus A330.

Special projects
Special projects are our forte at Linz Airport, and our customers benefit from the one-stop-shop principle that we provide. Streamlined processes and highly specialised staff ensure that special projects are handled quickly and reliably around the clock.
Turkish Cargo operates two weekly flights from Linz to Istanbul (Tuedays and Sundays) by making use of the Airbus A 310 and A 330 airplanes.
Heavy haulage, hazardous materials, perishables, valuable cargo, refrigerated cargo or air mail: Linz Airport is the port of call for special transports. Anything’s possible – and all in one stop!
An example? In June 2014, a Boeing 747-400F with a nose cargo door transported steel plates from Linz to Mumbai. Weighing more than 9.5 tons and having more than 12 metres in length, this was certainly an unusual freight.
Express / E-Commerce
One of our mainstays are express shipments. Twice a day, flights by DHL Aviation (LEJ - LNZ - LEJ, BEG - LNZ - BRU and back) are undertaken. Thus up to 9 Mio. packages are handled annually.
Import of ungulates
Animal transports as a special type of service: Linz Airport is one of the few airports in Central Europe that handles the import of all kinds of ungulates. Consequently, we provide a number of stables alongside our border veterinary inspection post. Linz Airport is the only airport in Austria offering this service.
